Well, if you have ever visited McLeodGanj Dharamshala Town, you must have gone on this beautiful Triund trek. Triund is surrounded by foothills of Dhauladhar mountains and down side you can see the whole Kangra valley surrounded by Shivalik hills. The trek itself is full of its stunning views and path of this Triune trek surrounding by Rhododendron trees, Deodar trees and the green pastures on top of Triund makes it the place like heaven. People feel it’s serenity when they reach at the top.
Start your Triund Trek From Mcleodganj:
There are 2 routes to reach Triund. One hitting the Gallu temple from McLeodGanj and the other at Bhagsunag. Different has a different one. If you start with Galu it will prevail in the beginning from Adorable and stunning, which will look like fairy tales as you will see Rhododendron tree on the way covered with its flowers (in the month of March, April and May. Later these are covered with green leaves).
Galu is about 4 kms from Mcleodganj, where you can also reach by taxi. Later you can start your trek which will be quite easy. You will reach Triund Top in 3 to 5 hours. While walking on this route, you will also find some shops where you can enjoy Maggi Omelette or Chai Pani. But please take care that you do not spread filth. You put the wrapper of the packet in your bag and you only put it in the trash.
The second route will take you from Bhagsunag to Triund. This route is bit steep but also quick. While going from here, you will easily reach Triund Top in 3 to 4 hours. You will also find many shops on this route too.
When you reach Triund Top, you will have a unique feeling. The view of Triund Top will surely captivate your mind. Triund, by the way, has become the favorite place of many tourists nowadays. But do you know that this place is actually the pasture of the shepherds. Even now the people of Gaddi community bring their sheep and goats to graze cross the Indrahar Pass and go further ahead towards Chamba valley. Triund is also an acclimatisation point for those who go to climb the Indrahar Pass and Moon Peak.

If you stay here at night then you can enjoy Triund Camping. There is a wonderful night view here. The starry sky at night seems as if it were a plate full of heron. It seems that the stars are very close to you. And they want to share with you.
